Feast! Smart Start Kick-Off Event

Event Details

Region Nine has been awarded a grant by the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation and Compeer Financial to launch a Feast! Smart Start program in south central Minnesota. This program will help build resources for creating a sustainable and resilient food economy by providing training to local food entrepreneurs.

Region Nine’s Feast! Smart Start program will provide support for five individual farm and food entrepreneurs through a defined, structured technical assistance and coaching process. Participants will leave the one-year program with tangible skills and a driven plan to continue growth with their business.

A kick-off event will be held on August 19 at the Mankato Brewery from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. for interested individuals to learn more about the program. Paula Trenda, from the award-winning Curly Girlz Candy, will also share her success story during the event.

This event is free and lunch will be provided. Registration is requested at https://conta.cc/2O2jO3o
