Project ROSE (Reaching Out to Support Elders)
Project ROSE was developed in 1999 as a means to reduce duplication
and maximize expertise in the development and delivery of caregiver support
and respite care services for older adults. This is accomplished through
a collaboration of partner organizations. Project ROSE offers respite
relief for caregivers whose caregiving responsibilities enable another
adult individual(s) to remain in their own home.
Project ROSE also provides other caregiver support options, such as:
* Support groups
* Caregiver training
* Education
* Peer counseling
* Mentoring
Project ROSE works through the partnering organizations to create community
connections for caregivers using a cooperative community approach including:
* Community leaders
* Organizations
* Agencies
* Caregivers
to support and coordinate the integration of formal and informal care
for older persons and their caregivers.
